Laura Pruden

Laura Pruden is an actress, storyteller, and mother of two. She’s been on stage most recently at the 14th Street Y, Metropolitan Playhouse, Riverside Theatre and Barrow Group Theatre, and on the mic at The BugHouse Spin, Symphony Space, Listen To Your Mother, Dixon Place, Two Truths and a Lie, A Collection of Shiny Objects — and now, Word the Storytelling Show! You can hear her story “Nest” on the Brick Underground podcast #4. Small screen includes Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Law & Order SVU, The Daily Show, and Onion News Network. A member of Writers Improv Studio, Laura helped develop and acted in the award winning features, 42 Seconds of Happiness and The Rainbow Experiment, and is in workshops for Paris is in Harlem, set to shoot in 2019. Laura studied acting at Northwestern (BA) and CalArts (MFA), taught at The Second City, and was a 2018 SU-CASA Artist in Residence in storytelling.
