Christine Ann Lahti is an American actress and film director. She has won an Academy Award, an Emmy Award, and two Golden Globe Awards.
Lahti’s first Academy Award nomination was for Best Supporting Actress for her work in the 1984 film Swing Shift. Her second nomination was for her work as a director, when she won the Academy Award for Best Short Film, Live Action for her 1995 film Lieberman in Love. Her other films as an actress include …And Justice for All (1979), Housekeeping (1987), and Running on Empty (1988). She directed My First Mister (2001). Christine is an eight-time Golden Globe nominee and six-time Emmy nominee, she won a Golden Globe for the 1989 TV movie No Place Like Home. In 1998, she won a Golden Globe and an Emmy for her role as Kate Austin in the CBS series Chicago Hope, which she starred in from 1995-1999. She also had recurring roles on the NBC series Law and Order: Special Victims Unit (2010-2011) and Hawaii 5-0 (2012-2013). On Broadway, Christine starred in God of Carnage and The Heidi Chronicles. Off Broadway, She won an Obie Award for Little Murders and received a Drama Desk Nomination for Three Hotels. She can be seen in the up-coming films, Safe-light and The Steps.
