Submit a Story
If you’re a writer, actor, performer, carnival clown, pipe fitter, dental assistant, etc….or if you just happened to be one of those people who attracts ludicrous episodes in your life and would like to share this before a live audience…..write your story down, before you forget it! And send it to us! So come on…….life is hilarious… or not….SO SHARE IT! WORD …The Story Telling Show has no monthly theme. Your story is the theme. Our stage is set up with a lectern and microphone to facilitate the reading of your story but if you prefer to memorize it and work without a script – feel free to do so.
Submission Guidelines
The Word Show looks for stories that are “true”, have a beginning, middle and end and be in first person narrative ( which means – about you!) . We look for stories that are compelling, hilarious, meaningful, shocking, crazy, insane and life changing. The story must not exceed 10 minutes.
You can submit your story as a doc of 1500 words max or in video format -include contact info at the top with a little about yourself or link to a video of you doing the story you would like to submit
We welcome video submissions as well.
