Michael Small


Michael Small told his first Tales at TALE the story-telling show hosted by Harmon Leon every month at the East Village’s Three of Cups. Michael also writes plays, which have been performed at the New York International Fringe Festival, the Howl Festival, and several NYC venues. He co-wrote the book to the Off Broadway musical The IT Girl, and he’s the author of the non-fiction book, Break It Down: The Inside Story of the New Leaders of Rap. A former writer and editor at People Magazine, Michael ran websites for Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, and Wired. He’s now the director of tech projects at msnbc.com.
