Julie Polk appears regularly at storytelling shows around New York City including The Moth, RISK!, Talk Therapy, Yum’s the Word, So What Happened Was… and Tell It: Brooklyn, and has been featured on both the RISK! and Modern Stories Mix podcasts. She trained as an actor at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and at the University of Delaware’s Professional Theater Training Program and holds an MFA in creative writing from the New School. She has twice been a guest artist at the CUNY School of Journalism and teaches writing and speaking to audiences and individuals ranging from Fortune 100 executives to teen girls in underserved NYC schools.
