Genevieve Riutort

She left for Los Angeles in the early 90’s seeking a career in entertainment but found her passion in the nonprofit world. She currently serves as the Chief Development Officer for Westside Food Bank, where she has worked for over 14 years, running all aspects of fundraising and communications. She was the producer and host of the City TV Santa Monica Program Nonprofit Profiles for 3 seasons and has produced numerous PSAs and videos for Westside Food Bank. She currently serves on the board of Cornerstone Theater Company which produces plays by engaging with communities to educate and advocate around social justice issues. She reignited her passion for performing by telling a story at the Bada Bing Bada Boom storytelling show in LA where she met Terri and agreed to perform at Word. She’s the proud mom of 3 young adults, and visits New York often to see her daughter Jessica Anne Rubin, who is a visual artist living in Brooklyn.
