Ken Wade

Ken Wade /
Tonights show will be Ken Wade’s 2nd appearance at WORD. The first time Ken
performed a story before an audience was at the Judson Church at the memorial
of his long time friend the acclaimed Abstract Expressionist Painter, Nicolas
Carone. On that evening over 8 years ago, Ken stood before hundreds and
spontaneously began the telling by saying, “I’m going to tell you a story about
Nick & the Woman Upstairs.” This was a life changing experience and since that
time Ken has told stories on The Moth, an extended series at Stage Left Theater, a
one man show at Dixon Place, The New Work Series at One Man Talking, The
Barn Performing Arts Center in Virginia, The New York Public Library, Community
Centers in Manhattan, a one-man show at the historic Westbeth Artist Housing
titled by way of a song Ken wrote in 1986;
I used to think, “I AM A GENIUS”, then I moved to New YorkCity. (2017)
This past February Ken performed a GOD’S LOVE WE DELIVER fund raising Song
& Story show at the historic EAR INN: The Valentine’s Day Concert.
